getting started.

install, find it in your DAW, start your trial or activate. a couple of minutes, tops.

install on mac

open the installer and pick AU, VST®3, AAX or all three. drum toaster goes here:

install on windows

run DrumToaster-1.0.1-Windows-Setup.exe. if Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click "More info", then "Run anyway".

find it in your DAW

if it doesn't show up right away, rescan:

on mac
Ableton LiveSettings › Plug-ins, turn on Audio Units and/or VST3 system folders, then Rescan
Pro Toolsquit and reopen Pro Tools, it scans on launch. drum toaster is under Dynamics and Harmonic
Logic ProLogic Pro › Settings › Plug-in Manager, select Drum Toaster, then Reset & Rescan Selection
FL StudioOptions › Manage plugins › Find installed plugins
ReaperSettings › Plug-ins › VST › Re-scan (Audio Units show up on their own)
on windows
Ableton LiveSettings › Plug-ins › turn on "Use VST3 Plug-in System Folders", then Rescan

start your trial or activate

put drum toaster on a track. the license card opens.

trying it

type your email and hit start 14-day trial. the full plugin for 14 days, no card. it needs internet for that one click, then it works offline.

bought it

paste the email you bought with and your key (it's in the email we sent after checkout, and in your account), then hit activate.

one key works on all your computers. new computer? install, paste the same email and key.

use it

start on the drum bus. pick a flavor, pull the lever down until it cooks. want more? hit extra.

after you press play it sets its own volume within about 4 seconds (the MATCH pill glows while it listens), so judge it after that.

bypass is on the toaster itself; the power button does the same.

uninstall

delete these, then rescan your DAW:

on windows you can also use Windows' "Apps" uninstaller.

optional, on mac, removes your activation too: ~/Library/Application Support/Db Samples/Drum Toaster/
